Frequently asked questions
The suggested species is wrong
Several species are suggested, each with its confidence score: choose the right one before confirming. If none fits, try a sharper photo or one taken from another angle.
The animal I photographed is not in the encyclopedia
The encyclopedia covers more than 9,000 species and keeps growing. Tell us about the missing species with the “Report a bug or an idea” button.
Who can see where my observations were made?
The public location of every observation is approximate, to within about 1 km. Locations of protected or hunted species are never shared.
Is the app free?
Yes. Animal Odyssey is free and has no ads. Some features may become paid in the future.
